This policy explains how the destination guides on TravelDeclaration.com are researched, written, and kept up to date, and how our editorial content relates to the paid filing service we sell.
How we research each guide
Every destination guide is built from the relevant government or immigration authority's own published requirements — the same official portal we link to from the top of each guide. Where an authority publishes conflicting or changing guidance, we say so in the guide rather than picking whichever version is simplest.
Review before publishing
Each guide is researched and drafted by a member of our editorial team, then checked line by line against the official source by a second team member before it goes live — see who's on that team on our About Us page. This is separate from the human review your individual application goes through before filing — one checks the accuracy of our published content, the other checks the accuracy of your submission.
Keeping guides current
Entry requirements change — filing windows shift, fees change, new document types replace old ones. We revisit guides when we become aware of a change, but requirements can move faster than any single website. The official source linked at the top of every guide is always the authority on current requirements; treat our guide as a clear explanation of it, not a replacement for checking it yourself close to your travel date.
Editorial independence
We do not accept payment, free travel, or any other consideration from a destination's government or tourism board in exchange for how a guide is written. Our guides do not change based on which countries we'd rather promote. Our commercial relationship is disclosed on every guide and every page of this site: TravelDeclaration.com is powered by Passporta, and the "Apply Now" links throughout our content lead to Passporta's paid filing service. That relationship never determines what a guide says about a destination's requirements.
Corrections
If you spot something on a guide that's out of date or incorrect, tell us — we'd rather fix it than have a traveler rely on it. Reach us through Contact support with the destination and the detail in question.
